Why IAF
Everything we have built started in rooms full of facilitators, and went back to them. The Design Method Toolkit has been shared with the community since 2012; fourteen years on, thousands of people still design with it. The Global Goals Jam ran the same way, in over sixty countries with UNDP: facilitators passing on what worked, nobody charging each other for it.
Metodic is built on those foundations. Sponsoring IAF Oceania is our way of keeping that habit. This community taught us the craft, and the International Association of Facilitators is where it actually meets.
What we are bringing
Two things, both made for people who lead sessions.
- Metodic builds the session. Describe the workshop, training or team meeting you need to run, and it writes the timed agenda, the worksheets, the slides and the facilitator guide.
- Metodic Live is the other half: the room's real wall of post-its. Tables photograph their notes, and every note lands on the beamer in its table's colour, in its own words. The room sorts and votes from their phones while you run the conversation instead of standing at the wall.
Metodic Live is free throughout its open beta, and Metodic is free to start. If you are coming to Oceania, bring a session you are actually running. We will set it up with you, and you can take it apart in person.

We will share more as the programme takes shape. If you are hosting a session at the conference and you work on a real wall, a Metodic Live room takes two minutes to open at metodic.live, and the wall you photograph is the wall the room gets to sort.
