How to run Appreciative Interviews, step by step

  1. Explain the purpose of Appreciative Interviews and divide participants into pairs. (2 minutes)
  2. Each person interviews their partner, asking questions focused on positive experiences and strengths. (10 minutes per person)
  3. Partners switch roles and repeat the interview process. (10 minutes per person)
  4. Bring the group back together and facilitate a brief sharing of key insights and common themes. (5-10 minutes)
