How to run Instigator, step by step

  1. Ask one person to be the 'Bunny' and have them leave the room or close their eyes. (2 minutes)
  2. Secretly choose an 'Instigator' from the remaining group members. (1 minute)
  3. Instruct the group to walk randomly around the space while the Instigator makes deliberate movements that others mimic. (2 minutes)
  4. Have the 'Bunny' return and observe the group, trying to identify the Instigator within four attempts. (5 minutes)
  5. Rotate roles and repeat for multiple rounds. (5 minutes)

Facilitator tips

  • Encourage the Instigator to change movements frequently to challenge the Bunny.
  • Ensure the Bunny has a clear view of all participants.
