Connect your own AI key

Run the AI in Metodic on your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key. Materials then stop using credits.

Steps

1. Go to Settings and open the Integrations tab.
2. Open Your own AI keys (BYOK).
3. Click Get a key next to Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini or OpenAI, and create a key at that provider.
4. Paste the key and click Save. Metodic checks it right away.
5. One key is enough: every AI feature works with a key from any of the three.
6. From then on, materials run on your key and use no credits. The 2 credits per session stay.

Tip: Your own key works on paid and lifetime plans. With an Anthropic or Google key, chat messages are free too. Image generation and exports still use credits.
