How to use Metodic

Getting started

Create your first session — Describe your session in a few lines and the Session Architect designs every activity, with steps, minutes and materials.
Start from a template or example — Pick a ready-made session design and let the Architect fit it to your group.
Change the language — Metodic works in nine languages. The language you pick is also the language new sessions and materials are written in.

Change or add an activity — Ask the Architect in the chat, or click an activity and change it yourself.
Add a live poll, quiz or word cloud — Give any activity a question that participants answer on their phones during a live session.
Build a multi-day programme — Ask for more than one day and the Architect builds the programme day by day.

Make worksheets, handouts and canvases — Make the printouts for every activity in one go, or one at a time.
Edit the text of a material — Change any word on a worksheet, handout or canvas yourself, or describe the change and let Metodic make it.
Make a slide deck — Get a slide deck for your session, with tasks, timers and speaker notes.
Make a card deck — A printable card deck for you, your participants or one activity.
Add your logo, colours and font — Put your own logo, colour, typeface and footer on every material.

Start a live session — Run your session from Session Control: the timer, the current activity and the live questions in one place.
Let participants join — Participants join on their phone with a code. They don't need an account.
Launch questions and move between blocks — Open a live question on everyone's phone, show the results, and move through the agenda.
Present your slides on a second screen — Show the slides on a projector while the controls and speaker notes stay on your laptop.

Share a session — Send a link. Anyone can view the session without an account and copy it to their own account.
Invite team members — Bring colleagues into your team, so you can design together and share sessions.
Export to Miro or PDF — Turn your session into a Miro board for online work, or into a PDF to print and send.

What credits cost — Designing a session costs 2 credits. Materials come on top, and you only pay for what you make.
Connect your own AI key — Run the AI in Metodic on your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key. Materials then stop using credits.
