Photograph the post-it wall
The thinking happens on paper. One photo per table, and every note is on the screen in that table's colour.
Steps
- Do the exercise on paper first: markers, post-its, the wall. This interaction is for what comes after.
- In the room, add Post-its from photos under After work on paper, and write the question the tables worked on.
- Put it on the phones. One phone per table takes one photo of that table's wall, with every note in frame.
- The notes appear on the screen typed out, in their table's colour, in the order they hung. Nobody reads anything out.
- Click Group into themes and the wall sorts itself into clusters the room can see and change. Say a different grouping out loud and it re-sorts.
- The other views sit in the full wall: everything, tensions, outliers, questions and a summary. Participants can sort and vote from their own phones.
Tip: Reading a wall counts as one wall session of your plan, not as credits. Free gives you one, to see what it does with your paper.
