Add your own content to slides

Bring in your talk, a PDF or an old presentation. Metodic places it in your agenda, around the activities, and you check the outline first.

Steps

  1. Open your slide deck and click Your content. On a new deck, click Start with my content.
  2. Drop in a PDF, PowerPoint (.pptx) or Word (.docx) file, or paste your text. Files are read on your own device; only the text is used.
  3. Choose how your words go on the slides: As I wrote it keeps your wording, Condense shortens it but keeps every number and name, Write it for me writes slides from your material.
  4. Optionally write what must be in the deck, then click Make the outline. This is free.
  5. Check the outline. Grey rows are your activities and stay; white cards are your content. Move a card to another block, cut it or fix a word. Anything that couldn't be placed is listed under Couldn't place these.
  6. Click Put it in my deck, or Build the deck for a new one. Activity slides and your own edits stay as they are.
  7. Want an old presentation exactly as it looks? Click Use pages as slides next to a PDF, then move each page to the block where you need it.

Tip: With As I wrote it, adding content to a deck you already have is free. You can always refine your content or add more afterwards, right on the slides.
