EOS Level 10 Meeting

The weekly leadership meeting of the Entrepreneurial Operating System, with a fixed 90-minute agenda. Short reporting segments surface problems quickly so most of the time goes to solving the top issues through Identify-Discuss-Solve.

When to use EOS Level 10 Meeting

Weekly leadership or management team meetings in small and mid-sized companies; teams that report a lot but solve little.

How EOS Level 10 Meeting works

Use the seven sections as the agenda blocks of a weekly leadership or management team meeting, with about 60 of the 90 minutes reserved for IDS. Keep the same agenda every week.

Phases of EOS Level 10 Meeting

  1. Segue: Each person shares a piece of personal and professional good news to switch from working in the business to working on it.
  2. Scorecard: Go through the weekly measurables: each one is on track or off track. Off-track numbers go to the issues list without discussion.
  3. Rock Review: Each owner says whether their quarterly priorities (Rocks) are on or off track. Off-track Rocks become issues.
  4. Customer & Employee Headlines: One-line news about customers and staff, good or bad. Anything that needs work drops to the issues list.
  5. To-Do List: Check last week's seven-day action items: done or not done.
  6. IDS: The bulk of the meeting. Pick the most important issues and Identify the real problem, Discuss it, and Solve it, one at a time.
  7. Conclude: Recap new to-dos, agree what gets communicated to others, and each person rates the meeting from 1 to 10.

Key principles

  • Same day, same time, same agenda every week
  • Report briefly, solve deeply
  • Off-track items drop straight to the issues list
  • Solve the most important issue first
  • Rate every meeting and aim for 8 or higher

Best for

  • Leadership team meetings
  • Weekly management meetings
  • Small and mid-sized businesses
  • Teams running on quarterly priorities

Considerations

  • Level 10 Meeting is a trademark of EOS Worldwide; describe it, do not brand materials as official EOS
  • Assumes a scorecard and quarterly Rocks already exist
  • Rigid format; teams outside the EOS system may need to adapt the scorecard and Rock sections
