Affinity Diagramming

How to run Affinity Diagramming, step by step
- Brainstorm ideas or insights (10 min). Each participant writes down ideas on post-it notes.
- Randomly place post-it notes on the board (5 min).
- Silently group related ideas (15 min). Participants move post-it notes to form clusters of similar ideas.
- Name the groups (10 min). Give each group a descriptive name that captures the common theme.
- Discuss and refine the groups (5 min). Ensure everyone agrees with the groupings and names.
